In 1780, irlandezul John Jameson si-a construit propria distilerie \u00een ora\u0219ul Dublin, pe Bow Street. Din 1975 produc\u021bia whiskey-urilor Jameson a fost mutat\u0103 la Distileria New Midleton din comitatul Cork, iar \u00een prezent brand-ul este parte din grupul Pernod-Ricard.
\nDe peste 200 de ani, genera\u021bii intregi de artisani \u0219i mae\u0219trii irlandezi produc whiskey cu pricepere si dedicare, urmand cateva reguli simple, impartaite tuturor celor care doresc s\u0103 afle arta distilarii si maturarii unui whiskey scotian cu traditie.
\nIngredientele principale sunt intotdeauna aceleasi: orz, porumb si apa pura. Productia este realizata cu tehnologie moderna insa dupa regulile si spiritul irlandez al fondatorului. Single malt-urile \u0219i blend-urile Jameson sunt maturate in cele mai bune butoaie din stejar, aduse din Statele Unite ale Americii si Spania.
