The Scoville scale measures in Scoville Heat Units (SHU) how hot/spicy a chilli pepper, or any other kind of spicy food is according to the concentration of capsaicin. Capsaicin is one of many chemicals generically called capsaicinoids. It is named after its creator, the American pharmacist Wilbur Scoville.

New food labelling: Nutri-Score

The aim of this European system is to offer consumers more and more transparency in order to make food choices easier and thus to promote a balanced diet. This commitment fits in perfectly with the Bonduelle Group's efforts to ensure high standards of nutrition and health through plant-based foods.

The Nutri-Score logo can be found on the labels of processed foods. It is based on a calculation in the form of a scale of 5 colours (from dark green to dark orange) in connection with letters from A (better nutritional quality) to E (poorer nutritional quality). The Nutri-Score class in which the food is classified.
