From 30 November 2023, the Guaranteed-Return System comes into force. From then on, for drinks sold in non-refillable PET, glass or metal primary packaging, with volumes between 0.1 litre and 3 litres, you will pay a 50-money guarantee at purchase. You will get this money back when you return the packaging to one of the return points open at retailers nationwide.

Most traders and retailers are required to set up a take-back point for recyclable packaging subject to the SGR. There are exemptions for the HoReCa industry, online shops or small shops with sales space under 200 square metres.
